• Move with the least possible effort.

• While doing Somatic Movement Lessons, your primary task is to focus your attention on the internal sensations of the movement, not the action of the movement itself.

• Always move slowly and gently and stay within your comfort zone.If you feel any pain or strain,you are doing too much.

• Do your best to orient yourself to the process of learning and doing rather than working towards a goal.

• Direct your attention toward sensing the differences of your body parts while going through the movement sequences.

• Be persistent, patient, and positive.
